An existing veranda and rear extension of a townhouse, located near the corner of a residential block, make way for outdoor spaces and a kitchen connected to the existing living area. A slanted window brings in light and views, extending the living and cooking spaces onto the terrace. A perforated steel staircase (under construction) connects to the sunlit terrace on the first floor. The periscope above the end of the kitchen (mirrors in progress) further strengthens the relationship with the upper floor and offers a view of the terrace and the green roof.
een bestaande veranda en achterbouw van een herenwoning nabij de hoek van een woningbouwblok maken plaats voor buitenruimtes en een keuken in relatie met de bestaande woonruimte. Een schuinhoekig raam brengt licht en doorzichten en verlengt de woon -en kookruimte tot op het terras. Een stalen geperforeerde trap (in uitvoering) verbindt met het in de zon badend terras op de eerste verdieping. Ook de periscoop boven het einde van de keuken (spiegels nog in uitvoering) versterkt de relatie met de eerste verdieping en biedt zicht op het terras en het groendak.
Une véranda et une annexe existantes d’une maison de maître, située près de l’angle d’un îlot résidentiel, cèdent la place à des espaces extérieurs et à une cuisine en lien direct avec le séjour existant. Une fenêtre inclinée apporte lumière et perspectives, prolongeant les espaces de vie et de cuisine jusqu’à la terrasse. Un escalier en acier perforé (en cours de réalisation) relie la terrasse baignée de soleil au premier étage. Le périscope au-dessus de l’extrémité de la cuisine (miroirs en cours d’installation) renforce également la relation avec l’étage et offre une vue sur la terrasse et la toiture végétalisée.
